CCADS Convergent Occlusion with Dr. Clayton Chan – 7 Credits

CCADS is excited to announce the introduction of a 1-day Occlusion program. This program will offer a unique approach to the traditional thinking around occlusion . Convergent Occlusion will look at the existing philosophies and offer up an alternative approach that can help identify and resolve many of the cases you will come across in your practice. It is, as the name suggests a convergence of the CR and Neuromuscular approaches that have driven our thinking for so long.

This program will be taught by Dr. Clayton Chan. He is considered by many an authority in occlusal thinking and is able to make this mysterious and complex subject straight forward. CCADS approached Dr. Chan to develop a revolutionary program and new thinking around the existing occlusal philosophies. The aim is to address the majority of cases that dentists see in their practice on a daily basis.

Convergent Occlusion is an introductory program that focuses on classic as well as contemporary occlusal philosophies that are critical to effectively diagnose and treat the simple to complex bite problems. Habitual occlusion, centric relation as well as neuromuscular concepts are presented and discussed to assist in “self-discovery” what works best for the dentist. Determining “the bite” is a critical record to effectively communicate with the laboratory important occlusal schemes necessary to manage the bite and finish the bite to minimize excessive occlusal adjustments.

TOPICS COVERED:

As with all CCADS programs there will be a lecture and hands-on component.
