Clayton A. Chan, D.D.S. is a general dentist who practices in Las Vegas, Nevada. He has received his D.D.S. degree from Loma Linda University, School of Dentistry in Southern California. He focuses his private practice on TMJ/TMD, aesthetic craniomandibular orthopedics, functional orthodontics, and full mouth rehabilitation, implementing the concepts and principles he teaches. He is a “Treating Clinician”.
He is considered by many to be an authority on Neuromuscular Dentistry and Occlusion. His training and experience as a general dentist and dental laboratory technician along with training in the areas of gnathology, TMD, orthodontics and neuromuscular occlusal concepts has helped him convey a unique clinical message to dentists, specialists and dental leaders.

He treats patients with complex TMJ and cosmetic restorative internationally problems. He lectures nationally and internationally on is the foremost teacher on neuromuscular occlusion and its clinical relevance to comprehensive reconstruction, TMD, and orthodontics. He is an educator to thousands of dentists around the world as well as mentor, teacher, councilor and supporter to dental study clubs and organizations in North America. He inspires and motivates dentists to take their practice to the next level, instilling in them the confidence, knowledge and skills necessary to go beyond the traditional teachings and techniques of the profession.
Dr. Chan is noted for his precision in dental occlusion, bite management and bite transfer techniques applying the gnathology principles with neuromuscular science. His presentations are packed with common sense information and practical clinical application. He is the author of many articles on neuromuscular dentistry and dental occlusion.
Formerly he was the Director of Neuromuscular Dentistry at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies now known as LVI Global where he established a foundational neuromuscular occlusion curriculum. Today, he is taking these concepts and teachings further to the next level at Occlusion Connections a place of learning, discovery, support and guidance.
He holds Mastership status with the International College of Craniomandibular Orthopedics. He is a Founding Member of the Appliance Therapy Practitioners Association and member of other dental organizations.
