Restorative Dentistry Built on a Measured Bite

GNM restorative dentistry succeeds or fails on the occlusion beneath it. A crown, a veneer, or a full-mouth rehabilitation is only as stable as the bite it’s built on — which is why GNM restorative work begins with a measured, physiologic occlusal position, not an assumed one. The conservative, biomimetic approach shown here preserves natural tooth structure and rebuilds function on that stable foundation, so esthetic results hold instead of relapsing.

A Conservative Approach

Preservation of tooth structure is possible with modern dental restorative materials. A biomimetic protocol has been used to conservatively restore the first and second molars back to anatomical form and health without removing unnecessary tooth structure. Marginal ridge preservation was maintained, and the occlusal anatomy and contacts were redeveloped. This direct bonding technique avoids over-cutting or over-preparing tooth dentin and enamel. Note: these are not “crowns.”

The lower arch is in the later phase of orthopedic verticalization (raising the anterior teeth to the proper occlusal plane without restorations, preserving the natural dentition). Posterior surfaces are provisionally covered with a fixed orthotic, but will be removed and converted to biomimetic restorations without losing the optimal bite or mandibular physiologic position.
